Amr Badr

Amr Badr has held the position of Managing Director of Abercrombie & Kent Egypt and the Middle East since 1999. Amr has extensive experience in the travel industry with an emphasis on leisure, cruise, events and educational travel.

In addition to this, Amr is involved in a number of philanthropic causes with a particular focus on peace and international relations. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement, People to People International and the Cairo International Film Festival. He also serves as a member of the U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy’s Advisory Board and, in 2009, was appointed to serve as a member of the U.S.–Egypt Business Leader’s Forum.

Amr graduated from Cairo University in 1987 with a degree in Business Administration and has completed further studies at Cornell University’s Hospitality Management Program and Stanford University’s Executive Education Program. He lives in Cairo with his wife and two children.
