Founded in 1998 " The Arab Commission for Human Rights is an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms throughout the Arab world. Without any political affiliation, the Arab Commission for Human Rights is guided in its work by the principles established in, most notably, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESC), the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and all other international human rights instruments."
