Arnys Clifton "Cliff" Lilly, Jr., Ph.D. was a Philip Morris International Scientist and Technology Vice President.

Biography

Arnys Clifton Lilly, Jr. was a Research Fellow and Director of Technology Assessment of Philip Morris, USA. Cliff received his B.S.in Petroleum Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1957, a M.S. in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1963, and a Ph.D.in Physics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1989. Cliff was a Researcher at Gulf Research & Development Center from 1957 to 1965. Cliff has been with Philip Morris since 1965, and has been an active researcher in a variety of corporate research and development projects. He guided and directed research in thin films, Monte Carlo simulations, application of lasers for high-speed paper perforation, high speed vision systems, and directs proprietary materials development projects for Philip Morris. Cliff received an IR-100 Product Award in 1972, Philip Morris Silver Ring Merit Award in 1975, Philip Morris Chairman's Award in 1988 and 1989, and Philip Morris Gold Ring Merit Award in 1989. Cliff has been an inventor on over 22 US Patents and has been an author of over forty research papers. As a Director of Technology Assessment, Cliff directs assessment and implementation of technologies for Philip Morris.[1]


Mr. Lilly was the Research Fellow and Director of Philip Morris Technology Assessment at Research and Development and he gave a deposition that was 389 pgs on 6/30/95 and 8/8/95 for the Philip Morris v. ABC case.(PMI's Revised Initial Disclosure, June 27, 1996) A. Clifton Lilly worked for Philip Morris Research Center at Box 26583, Richmond, Virginia 23261 in 1975.[Butler 2021648905-13, (P.O.)] He gave his deposition in 1995.
