Asialink Corporate & Public Programs

"Through Asialink Corporate and Public Programs, Asialink facilitates a range of forums and services for business, government, academia and the broader community that serve to stimulate debate, provide increased understanding and promote greater engagement with the Asian region.

"In addition, Asialink and the University of Melbourne recently signed a Letter of Intent with the Chinese Government to establish the Australian Confucius Institute@Melbourne, which will act as a centre for exchange and learning about China."

"Some examples of Asialink forums and services include:

1) The Asialink Conversations - an highly prestigious 2-day annual retreat, providing an opportunity for leaders in business, government and the community to share open and creative dialogue with their counterparts in the South-east Asian region.
2) The Asialink National Forum pdf, 48pages, 756kb - gathers together the who's who of Australian political, business and community leaders to examine current issues and suggest additional strategies for advancing Australia's national interest in this dynamic region. Prime Minister John Howard was keynote speaker in 2004.
3) The Asialink Leadership Program - an extensive 10 month program for young executives with senior leadership potential - aimed at building knowledge of Asia and the skills to manage the complexities of Australia-Asian relations.
