Asta Zinbo, Director, Civil Society Initiatives of the International Commission on Missing Persons.

"Ms. Zinbo joined ICMP in July 2000. However, her involvement with the organization began two years earlier, when she managed the Promoting Associations for Civic Engagement (PACE) project under an ICMP grant to Freedom House to promote the development of associations of families of missing persons in the regions of Southeastern Europe affected by the conflicts of the 1990’s. From 1997 to 2000, Ms Zinbo was deputy director of Freedom House’s regional office based in Budapest, Hungary. From 1992 to 1997, she was an associate program officer at the German Marshall Fund of the United States in Washington, DC. Ms. Zinbo also worked in Paris at the law firm Lassez and Associates from 1990-91. She has an MA in international affairs from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service in Washington, DC, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. She also has a Diplome d’Etudes Politiques from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Aix-en-Provence, France." [1]
