"A geologist with over 35 years experience in petroleum engineering practice. Olorunsola graduated in 1979 with a Second Class Upper division in Geology from the University of Ilorin. He spent the early part of his career on various petroleum engineering roles in Agip (ENI) in Nigeria, Italy and France before joining Shell (SPDC) in 1990, where he rose to become First Vice President, Gas and Power, for Shell sub-Sahara Africa.

"He retired from Shell in 2011 to take up the Federal Government appointment as Director of Petroleum Resources, a position he held until 2013. He has also served as ‘Strategic Business Adviser’ to two Ministers of Petroleum Resources. He joined the Board of Directors on April 19, 2016." [1]
