The Bell Institute of Health and Nutrition was created by General Mills, the leading kids' sugar cereals company, to generate industry-friendly research under the cover of seemingly impartial institutes with lofty, objective-sounding names that convey scientific integrity. [1] According to its website, its mission is to "contribute to research on whole grains, micronutrients and breakfast, and publish research and scientific articles in leading peer-reviewed journals."[2]
