Biographical Information

"Beth Macy describes the red thread throughout her work history as change. ..For many years, Beth participated as an internal organizational consultant for Shell Oil, supporting leaders and managers through various types of change including mergers, intra and inter team conflict, new project start up, culture transformation, restructuring, quality improvement and many other issues. It was while she was at Shell that she first worked with Joseph Jaworski, serving as Project Manager with Joseph as Visionary and Senior Consultant for the Alliance Leadership Laboratory.

"Early in her career, Beth’s curiosity about effective change and about agents of change led her to achieving masters and doctorate degrees in management focusing on organizational behavior and organizational theory. As an organizational change consultant, Beth’s focus is on the practice of dialogue as developed and popularized by theoretical physicist, David Bohm. She is currently teaches courses on dialogue. Additionally, she is authoring a book on dialogue, having deeply researched its origins and the basis for its significant impact in transforming the dimensions that underlie organizational effectiveness."[1]
