Biographical Information

"Based near Totnes in Devon, Bill Wood is a UKCP registered psychotherapist who has been seeing clients privately and within the NHS since 2008.

"He works with clients suffering from a broad range of personal or mental health issues, as well as supporting people engaged in intense periods of change or growth in their lives.

"Bill trained at the Karuna Institute in Devon from 2004 to 2009, and has an MA in Core Process Psychotherapy from Middlesex University.

"He has also worked since 1994 as a yoga teacher and, more recently, has been working voluntarily as a mentor for an international environmental organisation."[1]

"Inspired by many different yoga schools and meditative traditions, Bill feels drawn to seek out the essential elements of yoga that different approaches might share. The language he’s found most helpful, in his own practice and his teaching, has evolved from the work of the late Vanda Scaravelli.

"Bill has studied extensively since 1996 with Diane Long, one of Scaravelli’s closest students. He has also trained with Sophie Hoare and John Stirk and, back in the mid-1990s, qualified as a Sivananda Teacher and as a Yoga Therapist with the YBT. Away from his mat, Bill also works as a psychotherapist with a private practice near Totnes." [1]
