Southern Company, a major U.S. power utility, spent $60,000 on the services of Polaris Government Relations in 2008 and a further $20,000 to date in 2009.[1]The registered lobbyists for the first three quarters of 2008 were Gans, Amelia Blackwood and Zack Rimmele. The registered lobbyists for the last quarter of 2008 were Gans and Blackwood. The registered lobbyists for the first quarter of 2009 were Blackwood, Cunningham and Daniel J. Gans.
