Biographical Details

"Bryan is the founder and Managing Director of Environmental Capital Group (ECG) which is the Environmental Advisor to California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Clean Energy and Technology Fund. Through this process ECG has performed environmental performance analyses of the portfolios of the 24 top-quartile VC/PE funds in North America and Europe, with around $9 billion under management. These funds include RockPort, Carlyle/Riverstone, VantagePoint, Virgin Green Fund and WHEB. In this role, he is fostering strategic worldwide efforts to promote clean technology as an economically viable market opportunity, as well as demonstrating the efficacy of cleantech investments through measurement and monitoring services. Bryan is also a founding member of the P8 program and is an active current member of the secretariat. These programs are looking to mobilize substantial capital from the world’s largest pension funds as well as public development finance institutions to effectively address climate change.

"Previously, Bryan was the founder and CEO of Mobius Technologies, a material science/clean technology company. Bryan was Senior Research Engineer at the Dow Chemical Company and a Design Engineer at Bechte. He received his BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer, State of California." [1]
