Center for Human Rights Legal Action
Center for Human Rights Legal Action (CALDH—Centro para la Acción Legal en Derechos Humanos)
"In 1990, the Center for Human Rights Legal Action (CALDH) was formed to bring cases from Guatemala’s civil war to the Inter-American Human Rights Commission and Court as a way to ensure justice and accountability for widespread human rights violations in the country.
"In recent months, members of CALDH have received numerous threats to their safety, believed to be attempts to prevent them from exposing government and military involvement in past atrocities. These incidents have included a bomb threat to their offices in Guatemala, threatening phone calls, stolen and vandalized vehicles, and armed robbery."
They are a partner organization of the International Center for Transitional Justice.
