Clarence Dias is Director of the International Center for Law in Development and Chair of the Board of Human Rights Internet[1] and a member of the Human Rights Watch Asia Advisory Committee.

"Mr. Clarence Dias is the President of the International Center for Law in Development, a Third World NGO concerned with human rights in the development process. Mr. Dias, a lawyer, has considerable public interest experience and has published extensively. Mr. Dias has served as consultant to and represented various UN agencies, including UNDP, and the UN Human Rights Centre. For the past three years, he has been the UN Expert from the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights to the annual Asia-Pacific Inter-governmental workshop on Regional Human Rights Arrangements. He is presently consultant to UNDP on implementation of its policy Integrating Human Rights with Sustainable Human Development." [2]
