Colorado for Equal Rights

Colorado for Equal Rights (CER) is an anti-abortion group which is gathering signatures to get a constitutional amendment on the 2008 statewide ballot. The amendment, called the "Definition of a Person Act," would confer full legal rights upon fertilized human embryos. [1]

CER registered with the State of Colorado as an Issues Committee on Jun 15, 2007. (CER's ID number is 20075613915). Colorado Secretary of State records show that as of September 30, 2007, the group had US $2,278.78 on hand. The group's registered agent is Debra Burton, mother of CER spokesperson Kristine Burton. According to Whois.com, the domain name for CER was registered on November 13, 2007 in the name of Jacob Leis of "Red Phone Consulting 4256 Stoneridge Drive Ft. Collins, Colorado 80525". It also lists the fax number as "(999) 999-9999". There is no phone listing for "Red Phone Consulting". [3]
