"Conrad Thorpe is the CEO of the Salama Fikira group of companies. He has responsibility for the Group’s overarching leadership, strategy, decision-making, moral, ethical and professional accountability. He is resident in Nairobi, Kenya.

"Conrad Thorpe formed Salama Fikira in 2005, and quickly established the company in several sectors of risk management. This led to growth into several new theatres and countries. Today the company operates across Africa, Asia and parts of Europe in support of clients in a variety of security sectors including; commercial security, physical, technical, human and operational risk. He has been a director, in both the executive and managing roles before becoming the CEO. Prior to this he served in Her Majesty the Queen’s Royal Marines and later in the United Kingdom’s Special Forces, the Special Boat Service. He was a Lieutenant Colonel.

"Conrad Thorpe was born in Kenya and emerged as the dominating force in swimming in the early 1980’s when he was captain of the National swimming team including at the XII Commonwealth Games. Conrad has a MA in Defence Technology and War Studies (Cranfield University, UK)."[1]
