Biographical Information

"A serial social entrepreneur, Craig is the Founding Chair and former CEO of a high-reputation UK disability social enterprise, Advocacy Partners Speaking Up, and co-founder of five smaller civil society organisations. Stepping Out is a new venture helping public services to become a social enterprise.

"Craig is one of the foremost speakers on the UK third sector, the author of a best-selling book and a regular columnist for The Guardian and Third Sector magazine. Craig has an MBA and is a Visiting Fellow at Ashcroft International Business School.

Craig is Chairman of Governors of a local school, a Trustee of Impetus Trust, the venture-philanthropy charity and a member of the Investment Committees of the Social Investment Business and a founding-trustee of a Development Trust in his local area. He serves as the Liberal Democrat Spokesman for Communities on Conservative-controlled Suffolk County Council. He has two young children and is a keen though decreasingly successful amateur tri-athlete."[1]
