Illumen Capital invests in the world’s top impact fund managers and applies research-based interventions in partnership with Stanford University to help fund managers to see past race and gender bias to value.

"Before founding Illumen Capital, Daryn led the Special Equities Program as a consultant to the board of the Calvert Funds, a $12 billion pioneer of the impact investing field. Through this program, Calvert invested more than $90 million in impact investing funds and companies across five continents.

"Post Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Dodson served as Director of University and Corporate Partnership for the Idea Village, where he created a platform engaging leading private equity firms, business schools, and Fortune 500 companies to invest more than 100,000 hours and $2 million into more than 1,000 New Orleans entrepreneurs. Prior to his work in New Orleans, he built a coalition of national banks and faith-based institutions to educate Congress on reforms needed to stabilize the subprime lending market with Self-Help Credit Union.

"Mr. Dodson currently serves as a Board Director for Ben and Jerry’s. He earned an MBA from Stanford, where he serves on the Dean’s Management Board, and an A.B. in Public Policy from Duke University.[1]
