Biographical Information
"DAVID KAPPLER is currently Deputy Chairman of Shire plc, and Senior Independent Director at IHG plc (Intercontinental Hotels Group). He chairs the Audit committees at both companies. Mr. Kappler embarked on this portfolio career in 2004 when he retired from Cadbury Schweppes Plc, where he had been the CFO for more than nine years. This role was a culmination of a career, which started as a Trainee Accountant at Cadbury in 1965. Mr. Kappler was Chairman of Premier Foods for over 6 years till September 2010. He served as a non-executive Director and latterly Chairman of HMV Plc until early 2006, and was also a Director of Camelot from 1995 to 2002. "[1]
