Biographical Information

David A. Swankin, a principal in Swankin Turner "specializes in product-safety, occupational- safety, health-regulation, trade-regulation and administrative law, with particular focus on the Federal Trade Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and State Health Licensing Board. Mr. Swankin has served as director of the Bureau of Labor Standards, as deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor and as the first executive director of the White House Office of Consumer Affairs.

"He also has served as special counsel to the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators and general counsel to the National Consumers League and Consumer Federation of America. He is president of the Regulatory Alternatives Development Corporation (RADC) and president of the Citizen Advocacy Center, a resource organization for state health boards."[1]
