Biographical Information

"Professionally qualified mental health nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 19 years experience of working within the NHS and six years of private practice. Accomplished in all areas relating to the provision of treatment, training and supervision of CBT.

"David is accredited with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and clinical supervisor, following gaining an MSc in 2002. He is also accredtied as an EMDR practitioner with EMDR UK & Ireland. He works with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties including generalised anxiety, panic, stress, depression, OCD, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety and trauma. David is particularly experienced in working with traumatic stress, from road traffic accidents or assault to working with forces veterans having experienced combat trauma. He has also worked in general hospitals with the psychological effects of physical illness.

"He currently works for the NHS as a Clinical Lead for the South West Veterans Mental Health Service. His previous posts include clinical lead for a primary care psychological therapy service in South Gloucestershire, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for the Liaison Psychiatry and Traumatic Stress Service in Cardiff which included the role of CBT therapist for the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service.

"David has been providing clinical supervision for CBT therapists and other mental health professionals for sevaral years. In addition to clinical work he has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of West for England, Cardiff University and Mid Glamorgan University.
