"Dr Dennis Gillings is the Co-founder and non-Executive Chair of GHO Capital. He founded and is the Chairman of Quintiles, listed as Q on the New York Stock Exchange. Quintiles is the largest global provider of clinical trials and commercial marketing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Dr Gillings was formerly a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has received honorary DSc degrees from the University of North Carolina, Southampton University, and Exeter University. In addition he is an Honorary Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London. In 2004, Dennis was honoured by the Queen as Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for services to the Pharmaceutical industry. In 2012, he received the SCRIP Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of contributions to pharmaceuticals. Dennis and Mireille Gillings realised the need for a European private equity fund specialising in global health opportunities and financially cornerstoned the inception of GHO Capital." [1]
