Biographical Information

"Donald Johnston is currently a director of the McCall MacBain Foundation and International Vice-Chairman of Pamoja Capital. Mr. Johnston is Canadian and received his Law degree at McGill University in Montreal. He was most recently the Secretary-General of the OECD in Paris, France where he served from 1997 to 2006. Mr Johnston had to a successful career in politics, where he served as a senior Minister in the Canadian Government, including the positions of Minister of Justice and Minister of the Treasury. Prior to his entering politics, Mr Johnston founded the law firm Johnston Heenan Blaikie (now just Heenan Blaikie) and lectured in fiscal law in the Faculty of Law of McGill University. Mr. Johnston’s particular areas of interest are economic development and sustainable development. Mr. Johnston is fluent in English and French." [1]
