{{#badges: CoalSwarm}} Built in 1951, the E.J. Stoneman Plant was owned by Dairyland Power Cooperative until 1996; it is now owned by Integrys Energy Services (previously WPS Power Development.) The plant sells power under contract to utilities in the Mid-Continent Area Power Pool (MAPP).[1]

It was reported in 2001 that the owners were studying an expansion of the Stoneman Plant from 53 MW to 300 MW.[2] However, as of early 2008 there is no indication that the expansion is being pursued.
