Edwin Chen

Edwin Chen "is federal communications director for the Natural Resources Defense Council. The former White House correspondent for The Los Angeles Times, he has also authored three nonfiction books and written for numerous magazines, including the Atlantic, the New York Times, People and The Nation.

"Chen previously has worked for the Honolulu Advertiser, the Detroit News and the Washington Star. He has been a member of the Times Washington Bureau since 1989 and has covered science and medicine, Congress, the Clinton impeachment trial and served as the newspaper's Saudi Arabia bureau chief during the Persian Gulf War. He also chaired the panel that judged the first Dart Award.

"Chen is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University." [1]
