Biographical Information

"Emad has over ten years experience in senior management roles of telecommunications businesses in Africa and, more recently, in Greece. In 2009, he was chief executive of Wind Hellas, the Greek mobile telecommunications operator. Emad joined Orascom Telecom/Weather, a subsidiary of the privately owned Egyptian conglomerate, Orascom Companies, in 1999. He held a number of senior roles, including operations support director of MobilNil. He then became Chief Financial Officer of Djezzy, the greenfield mobile operator in Algeria. In 2003, Emad became chairman and chief executive of OrasInvest.

"Emad served as an Adjunct Professor at the Université Française d'Égypte in Cairo and, was president of the INSEAD Alumni Association of Egypt. He is a member of Endeavor Venture Corp, which aims to transform the economies of emerging markets by identifying and supporting high-impact entrepreneurs. Emad holds an MBA from INSEAD and a doctorate from Columbia University, New York." [1]
