Erin Isabelle Burnett (born July 2, 1976) is a journalist and news anchor. She is currently the anchor of her own news show on CNN: Erin Burnett OutFront.

On Iran

Burnett has hosted several programs where she speaks about Iran and its missile and nuclear programs as a threat to the United States. On this topic, she has been harshly criticized for "fear-mongering" and merely repeating what government officials report.[1] In one segment, where "she posed the question, 'is Iran planning an attack in America?', Burnett ran through a long list of government claims about Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions and desire to commit terrorism inside the United States. She then spoke to Republican Congressman Peter King about Iran."[1]
