Fisher-Price is a major global toy brand with sales of $1.4 billion in 2004. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel.

History

Fisher-Price became a publicly traded company in 1991. However in November, 1993 it was taken over by Mattel. Following Mattel's takeover of Tyco Toys in 1997 Fisher-Price became the "umbrella brand over all Mattel's infant and preschool lines." [1]
