Flaviane Malaquias Costa

"Flaviane Malaquias Costa is agronomist (sic). She studied in Brazil and she was research scholar during her graduation at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and EMBRAPA Maize and Sorghum, in the following topics: plant genetic resources, plant breeding, pre-breeding, biotecnology and seed quality. Flaviane, together with other students, created the [NGO] "Vida Pequenina" in Brazil to support children and infant education. During her volunteer and internship period at FAO, from July to September 2010, she prepared and updated the content of several sections of the Knowledge Resource Center, [the Global Partnership Initiative for Plant Breeding Capacity Building (GIPB)] website, namely: the national plant breeding programs; the scientific literature relating to plant breeding (English, Spanish and Portuguese)."[1]
