Frank Kennedy "is Chairman of the Board of TransAfrica Holdings, Mauritius; Schaffer Global Group, USA; INDEbank, Malawi; and the Investment Committee of ShoreCap International of Cayman Islands. He also serves as Director of the African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank), Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Kennedy also is on the sub Saharan Africa Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.

"At the request of the Canadian Government, Mr. Kennedy served on a Panel to select a Fund Manager and structure the $200 million Canada Investment Fund for Africa, (Canada’s NEPAD Initiative).

"Mr. Kennedy was Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Equator Bank plc, a UK licensed and regulated merchant and investment bank doing business exclusively in sub-Saharan Africa until his retirement in April 2002. Since joining Equator Bank in 1976 and being appointed CEO in 1988, Mr. Kennedy had been directly involved in investment and trade related transactions with senior Government officials and the private sector in approximately 35 countries in Africa.

"In addition to having been a director of the HSBC Equator Group of Companies, and Chairman of HSBC Investment Services (Africa) (pty) Limited, South Africa, Mr. Kennedy was a founding member and director of the Corporate Council on Africa in Washington, D.C. 1993-2006 and Chaired their Task Force on increasing Capital Flows to Africa.

"In 1997, Mr. Kennedy received from the Institute of African Affairs, New York the Award for Leadership in Economic Development in Africa." [1]
