George Gund

George Gund "is a former majority owner of the San Jose Sharks hockey team, as well as the former owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team, and has been involved with several NHL and NBA teams over the past thirty years. He is a long-time trustee of the Gund Foundation in Cleveland and founder of Lee & Gund Foundation, an international grant making foundation, devoted to global solidarity projects. With an abiding interest in film, Gund is a long-time chair of the San Francisco International Film Society, a founder of the Cleveland Cinematheque, a board member of the Sundance Institute, and a member of the Film Committee of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City."
