Professor Giuseppe LoJacono (aka Giuseppi) was a prominent tobacco tout in Italy who was also a Professor of Hygiene at the University of Perugia in Rome. He was leader of a small group of medical academics who collectively worked behind the scenes to prop up the tobacco industry.

This group (eventually five) were run as ETS Consultants by tobacco lawyers Covington & Burling through Helmut Gaisch at FTR Switzerland and with the help of George B Leslie of ARIA and IAI in the UK. [2]

(Note the archives also have many references to Jacono without the attached Lo. Also with spelling of Giuseppe as Giuseppi)

See references to LoJacono and others in the WHO October 2000 report on the Boca Raton Action Plan
