In 2005:

The Global Foundation led it’s inaugural mission to India from 16-23 March. This landmark mission comprising twenty delegates from a wide variety of backgrounds was led by Mr David Murray, Chief Executive Officer, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Mr David Miles, Chairman of the Foundation.

In conjunction with the Indian and Australian Governments and with the active support of the respective High Commissioners, the Foundation devised a comprehensive program of engagement and interaction with the most senior levels of Indian society.

The program included several structured roundtable discussions between Indian and Australian counterparts in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. In addition, the delegation met with a number of senior representatives from the Indian Government and major institutions.
