Gloria Totten "has worked for progressive causes and political campaigns for over 17 years and is considered one of the top political organizers in the country. She was named a "Rising Star of Politics" in 2002 by Campaigns & Elections magazine was the 2006 recipient of the Campaign for America's Future "Progressive Champion Award." In 2001, Gloria was recruited to build Progressive Majority and, in doing that work, has created the largest national organization dedicated exclusively to recruiting, training and electing the next generation of progressive political leadership. Prior to joining Progressive Majority, Gloria served as Political Director for NARAL from 1996-2001, where she ran NARAL's largest department - overseeing the organization's electoral work, grassroots organizing and field programs, and managing 27 state affiliates. Directly, or through independent efforts, Gloria has worked on and managed more than 75 federal campaigns. Gloria has also served as Executive Director for Maryland NARAL, Education Director for Pro-Choice Resources, President and Lobbyist for the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Media Chair for It's Time Minnesota! She is currently an Advisory Council member for Wellstone Action and WIN, serves on the Board of Directors for TrueMajority ACTION, My Sister's Place and Advocates for Youth. Gloria is also President of the Board of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center." [1]
