Poaceae (or Gramineae) is a taxonomical classification of plants. It is commonly called the "Grass Family." Gramineae includes about 700 genera and 11,000 species around the world, making it one of the largest plant families in the world.[1] The grass family includes several species important in the diet of humans including: wheat, rice, corn, sugarcane, barley, sorghum, millet, and others. Bamboo is also in the Poaceae family.
