Group Against Smoking Pollution, also known as the Group to Alleviate Smoking Pollution, is known by the acronym of GASP. GASP is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1976 as the California Group Against Smoking Pollution (GASP). Now there are several state branches of GASP around the country.

Description

The Group to Alleviate Smoking Pollution is an antismoking group.(E. Whelan 1984).

Americans for Nonsmokers Rights (ANR) is a California not-for-profit corporation founded in 1976 as the California Group Against Smoking Pollution (GASP). ANR is a national advocacy organization whose mission is to protect nonsmokers from passive smoking and children from addiction to tobacco.(ANR v. State of CA, Complaint 3/23/94).
