"Started as an organization to serve primarily the Haitian community, HAUP has evolved into a community center for any and all residents of New York State and beyond. HAUP serves approximately 15,000 individuals yearly (Haitians, Haitian-Americans, and various other ethnic groups. With three decades of demonstrated commitment in providing quality services to the community, HAUP is uniquely positioned to meet its challenges and emerging needs." [1]
