"Mr. Elias is a long-time peace activist. He has worked with Palestinian and Israeli children and teens to encourage mutual respect and cooperation. He has dubbed the film "Gandhi" into Arabic to promote non-violent resistance to conflict. Elias's "The Olive Harvest," which he wrote and directed, garnered prizes in several international film festivals in 2003. In Cairo, it captured the Best Arab Film award and the Special Jury Award. It was also the runner-up in the San Francisco Film Festival, and it was the Palestinian Authority's official entry to the 2005 Oscars." [1]
