International Economic Alliance

"In 1997, Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs (BCSIA) began hosting an annual U.S.-Russia Investment Symposium (US-RIS). US-RIS was established when the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation asked Graham Allison, Director of BCSIA, to create an event that would promote business ties between Russia and the United States. Since then, US-RIS has become the premier event of its kind, drawing the highest level of U.S. and Russian participation.

“..This Symposium is helping American leaders in government, business, and education learn more about the Russian business environment and encouraging partnerships between American and Russian businesses. Your efforts not only are strengthening our countries’ relationship but also are injecting new vitality into the global economy.”

"- President George W. Bush in his letter to the 7th U.S.-Russia Investment Symposium The International Economic Alliance

"To expand on this history and conceived within Harvard, the International Economic Alliance “IEA” was independently created as a non-profit and founded in 2003 with the support of corporations and the Starr foundation.

"IEA’s mission is dedicated to furthering global trade, economic development, and advancing business relations. The IEA, with its experienced team and international contacts, will continue to bring together the world’s key players and decision-makers—business and government leaders, investors, and leading intellectuals—for a practical, open, bi-partisan, solution-oriented exchange of ideas. The IEA serves as an important source of knowledge, facilitator of relationships, and catalyst for new business opportunities." [1]
