Jane L. Delgado

Jane L. Delgado, Ph.D., "has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Coalition of Hispanic Health and Human Services Organizations since 1985. Dr. Delgado came to this position after serving in the office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Delgado oversees training and technical assistance, policy and research, and public affairs in the areas of the environment, systems reform, AIDS and other chronic diseases, alcohol and other substance abuse, maternal and child health, and mental health and human services. In addition, Dr. Delgado serves as Chairperson of the National Health Council, Trustee of the Foundation for Child Development, and as a member of the Carter Center's Task Force on Mental Health Policy. Dr. Delgado received a master's degree in Psychology from New York University and a master's degree in Urban and Policy Sciences from W. Averell Harriman School of Urban and Policy Sciences. She also earned a doctorate from State University of New York at Stony Brook." [1]
