Janet Ashcroft, secretary of the board of trustees at Patrick Henry College, "has a wealth of experience in the fields of law and politics. She has served the state of Missouri as a first lady, special assistant to the Attorney General, and as general counsel for the Department of Revenue. Mrs. Ashcroft was a business law instructor for Southwest Missouri State University and an assistant professor for Howard University's School of Business. She is an author of two business law textbooks and has published numerous articles. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Ashcroft had a private law practice in Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Ashcroft is a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and the University of Chicago Law School. Her husband John Ashcroft serves as Attorney General for the United States. The Ashcrofts have three children, and their home church is Central Assembly of God in Springfield, Missouri." [1]
