Jim Davidson is a shareholder for Davidson & Company of Polsinelli Shalton Welte Suelthaus, PC in its Washington, D.C. office.

Davidson was Press Secretary to Sen. Stuart Symington (D-MO) and Administrative Assistant to Missouri Secretary of State James C. Kirkpatrick. 
In September 2005 the Washington Post reported that "Davidson's stable of clients includes General Mills, Kraft Foods, the National Association of Broadcasters, the Newspaper Association of America, the Magazine Publishers of America, and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America."
