Biographical Information

"John is British and has 40 years experience in the natural resources sector. He served in a number of senior management positions in the Gencor Group in South Africa, the USA, UK and Brazil. In 1996 he was instrumental in floating Energy Africa Ltd on the Johannesburg stock exchange and became Chief Executive for the following five years.

"More recently he was Executive Chairman of FirstAfrica Oil plc and served on the boards of Rift Oil plc and Adastra Minerals Ltd. He currently serves on the board of a number of resource companies including as Deputy Chairman of Wentworth Resources Ltd , non – executive director of Griffiths Energy International Inc and Chairman of Scotgold Resources Ltd ." He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Caracal Energy Inc. (formerly Griffiths Energy International Inc.) since September 2012. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of SacOil Holdings Limited from May 2011 to May 31, 2013. He served as a Director of Vanco Energy Company since July 2005. He served as a Director of Adastra Minerals Inc., from October 3, 2003 to May 1, 2006 and Osprey Oil & Gas Ltd., from 2001 to 2007." [1]
