John Hailey "is a visiting professor of Non-Profit Management at City University’s Cass Business School in London, and is a consultant working with NGOs and other humanitarian organisations on strategic and management issues. He has extensive international experience in this area and has undertaken a range of consultancies in over 25 different countries. Formerly he was professor of international management and deputy director of Oxford Brookes University Business School in Oxford; director of the International Development Centre at the Cranfield School of Management; and a research fellow at the East West Center in Hawaii. His research has been focused on the leadership and management of NGOs, non-profits and other humanitarian organisations, and has published extensively in this area. He was one of the original founders of the Oxford-based INTRAC and director of its Praxis Programme which was intended to inform the development of new approaches to capacity building." [1]
