John Rowe "has had a career over a 36 year period in the mining industry. John started his career with Metals Exploration as a project geologist before working at the Nepean Nickel Mine in the early 1970’s. For the next six years he was a senior geologist with Goldfields Consolidated before joining Agnew Mining as Chief Geologist. He then moved back to Metals Exploration as Chief Geologist at North Kalgurli Mines and the General Manager Operations involved with the establishment of open pit mining on the Golden Mile Kalgoorlie and the formation of Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd. He had a short stint with R&I Gold Bank in the technical division before setting up his own geological consultancy in the early 1990’s.

"John joined MPI Mines in mid 1993 and spent 12 years in various group executive roles including Director/Executive General Manager Mineral Inventory and Group Executive – Acquisitions & Resource management. John’s role at MPI Mines included responsibility for all geological activities including exploration, mine geology and project evaluation. MPI Mines was subsequently taken over by LionOre, for which company John was General Manager Business Development with responsibility for assessing new business, divesting assets and negotiating nickel ore and concentrate sales contracts.

"Since late 2006 John has provided geological and business development advice to the mining industry as principal of John Rowe and Associates. Currently, John is also a director of Westonia Gold Mines Limited and Sally Malay Mining Limited." [1]
