John Snooke is a Western Australian grain grower. Snooke argues that Australia's political position on genetically modified crops makes an already challenging farm environment even more challenging.

Snooke actively campaigns against the Western Australian government's moratorium on GM crops and argues that the segregation of GM from non-GM crops is achievable. "We always hear that Europe does not want GM canola, but Canada - where the majority of GM canola is grown - has access to European markets." Snooke says his main fear is that Australia will be left behind. [1]
