José Piñero

"Since July 2005 José Piñero has led the diversity marketing and communications initiative for Microsoft Corporation. Specifically he is responsible for creating and managing Microsoft’s diversity marketing communications plan, driving overall diversity messaging & marketing alignment and providing strategic counsel to internal Microsoft groups around diversity topics and opportunities. José is passionate about ensuring minorities and women gain access to the same educational and professional opportunities he has been fortunate to receive. Currently José is a Board member of Hopelink, a local organization whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency for all members of the Eastside community, and a Corporate Advisory Board member for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA). In addition, he manages Microsoft’s relationship with key national minority organizations such as the National Urban League and National Council of La Raza. José holds a master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from Cornell University. He lives in Redmond, Washington with his wife and two children." [1]
