Biography

Joseph DiFranza was the director of research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1994. (AP 9/18/94). He is a board member of Stop Teenage Addiction to Tobacco in 1994. (AP 9/18/94). DiFranza goes into classrooms to teach kids about dangers of smoking; "If you . . . can make the kids laugh, that's better than a lecture" (AP 9/18/94). Joseph R. DiFranza, M.D. is associate professor for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. (Castano Expert List)
