Joseph McLaughlin (involved in Chustz case)

"Joseph McLaughlin joined Heller Ehrman in 2002 and is a member of the Complex Commercial, Securities Litigation, Antitrust & Trade Regulation, and International Arbitration & ADR Practice Groups and is Chairman of the New York office. He is principally engaged in domestic and foreign regulatory matters involving securities issues, auditing standards and economic sanctions.

"Before joining Heller Ehrman, Mr. McLaughlin was Chairman of the CSFB Foundation Trust after spending several years as the Executive Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Credit Suisse First Boston, overseeing international legal and compliance issues in 60 countries. Prior to that, Mr. McLaughlin was the head of litigation at Shearman & Sterling, where he spent over 25 years developing a practice which concentrated on a wide range of corporate and commercial disputes involving securities, banking, anti-trust, international arbitration and employment. In addition to his extensive trial experience in the U.S. courts, he is experienced in arbitration and various alternative dispute resolution proceedings in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa.

"Mr. McLaughlin is the author of numerous articles on alternative dispute resolution which have been published by the ALI-ABA, as well as many other articles on topics ranging from international arbitration and securities issues to the ethical responsibilities of legal professionals. He has co-authored and contributed to several books on evidence and procedure.

"Mr. McLaughlin has served as a Visiting Professor at the Cornell Law School and an Adjunct Professor at the Fordham Law School. He is currently a lecturer with the American Law Institute and the Practising Law Institute." [1]
