Kayode Soremekun

Kayode Soremekun "is a Nigerian professor of International Relations at Obafemi Awolowo University, in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where he received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in international relations. Dr. Soremekun is the editor of several books, including Governance and Democratization in Nigeria (1995) and Nigeria's Second Republic (1988). Among numerous professional accomplishments, he received a Netherlands Fellowship, served as foreign policy fellow at the University of Maryland, and was a consultant to the Stockholm-based International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA). While a fellow at the International Forum through the summer of 2001, Dr. Soremekun conducted research on the differing U.S. responses to democratization in Nigeria and Kenya." [1]
