Kelvin Anderson "was appointed Queensland Corrective Services Director-General on December 12, 2008 and took up his appointment on February 2, 2009.

"He joined the Agency after serving as Commissioner of Corrections Victoria since 2002. He first joined the Office of Corrections in Victoria in 1984, working in all fields before being appointed General Manager of the Metropolitan Women's Correctional Centre in 1997.

In 1998, he was appointed General Manager of Victorian Operations for Corrections Corporation of Australia and served as Director of Port Phillip Prison in 1999.

"Kelvin has proved himself as one of the best correctional services leaders in the country and contributed significantly to the achievements made within the Victorian system." [1]
